A Museum team works to excavate the Stegomastodon vertebrae.
The Stegomastodon excavation site is located on the eastern plains of Colorado.
The team begins to expose some rib bones during the excavation.
Dr. Richard Stucky prepares a plaster jacket to safely transport the bones to the Museum.
The heavy plaster jacket of the Stegomastodon skull is loaded up with the help of Randy Weis guiding the backhoe excavator operated by Don Marr.
